Pignatelli Park

The park was raised to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the construction of the Imperial Channel, which was finished due to decisive promotion by Ramon Pignatelli. The statue of Pignatelli was designed for the Glorieta in Plaza Aragon, where it stayed until 1904, date when it was moved to its current location. Its author, the sculptor, Antonio Palau, carries out a piece of work in academic and realist style, which is inspired by the portrait of the canon, painted by Goya.
