Set in a 19th century Catalan farmhouse, restored and converted into a traditional country house, Can Navata is located in the heart of the Emporda Region, only 10 kms away from Figueres (Dali Museum), 15 kms from some of the best beaches in the Costa Brava (Sant Pere Pescador, L'Escala ...) and 18 kms from the Roman Ruins of Empuries.
This large and comfortable rustic farmhouse has six bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (one of which is adapted for disabled access), television and central heating. Can Navata rooms and interior spaces are tastefully decorated in a Catalan rustic style, enveloped in the warmth of wood, inspired in the colours of the Emporda countryside. Surrounded by woodland, and by meadows of alfalfa and wheat, this rural retreat, guarantees the utmost tranquillity and peace to its guests, only disturbed for the beautiful sound of birds.
Can Navata has two beautiful living rooms with log fireplaces, a library, games room with table tennis, children play area, barbecue facilities, large garden with swimming pool and a terrace for sun bathing. Can Navata was a vegetable-producing and stock-raising farmstead and at its restaurant you will find traditional quatity Catalan cooking made from fresh local produce. Can Navata specialties are escudella i carn d'olla (soup with meat), beef with mushrooms, duck in orange, chicken with plums and raisins, crema catalana (Catalan pudding), lioneses (small cakes) and bunyols (typical Catalan small cakes). Good vegetarian options (arrange in advance).
