The Balneari Caldes de Boi Spa is situated in the middle of the Pyrenees of the Lleida Area, in the Valley of Boi (Alta Ribagorza), very close to the Aiguestortes National Park and the group of Romanesque churches officially declared Unesco World Heritage site. It covers an area of 24 hectares. As well as the relaxing and healing powers of its waters, it offers scenery of spectacular beauty, at 1.500 metres altitude surrounded by rivers, lakes and peaks of 3.000 metres.
Caldes de Boi thermal and beauty centre has 37 fountains of diverse composition and temperature from 4C to 56C and were decared a public utility in 1887. The waters are with low mineralisation, alkalines, chlorides, sulphates, fluorides and sodiums. The quality of its waters is well known since Roman times. It is fed today, as it was 2,000 years ago, by natural springs of hot water.
Therapeutic indications: rheumatism, joint diseases, arthritis, gout, fibrosis, myalgia, post traumatic consequences. Breathing diseases as bronchitis and asthma. Blood circulation diseases as vain, lymphatic and arterial failure. The quality of its waters permits a wide variety of special services and treatments, alway undertaken by qualified personnel.
The Balneari Caldes de Boi Spa comprises of a building for thermal baths, 2 hotel establishments and huge grounds with outdoor and indoor swimming pools with hot and cold water, and also offers many different types of entertainment and leisure activities. The Valley of Boi also offers adventure activities: rafting, slums, fishing, horese riding and climbing.
