In the Barri Antic is the Casa de la Vall (House of the Valley) was constructed in 1580 as the home of a wealthy family and has served as Andorra's parliament builing since 1702. Downstairs is El Tribunal de Corts, the country's only courtroom.

The Sala del Consell, upstairs, is one of the cosiest parliament chambers in the world. The Chest of the Seven Locks (Set Panys) once held Andorra's most important official documents, it could be opened only if a key-bearing representative from each of the seven prishes was present. Free heavily subscribed guided tours (available in English) are given 9.30am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday (daily in August).
