The town of Canillo, 7km west of Soldeu and El Tarter, and 1km from Andorra la Vella is considerably more tranquil than either and makes a good base for a skiing or summer activity holiday, offering canyon clambering, guided walks, a climbing wall and endless hiking possibilities.
