The slopes of the Ordino-Arcalis ski area in Andorra's far northwestern corner are good for beginners and intermediates. A number of rugged peaks in this beautiful area reach 2700m and provide challenging, spectacular summer walking. There's no accommodation in Arcalis.

In the ski season there are five to six buses daily (Eur 0.85, 40 to 50 minutes on a relatively snow-free run) between Ordino and the ski station. In summer, four buses go no further than El Serrat (Monday to Saturday).
