Silken Gran Hotel Havana
The Gran Hotel Havana Barcelona is a first class hotel extended and upgraded to deluxe in 1991, and completely redecorated in 2002. Located on Barcelona’s Gran Vía, the hotel is right in the centre of the city, only a step away from the most emblematic buildings of Gaudí, the mythical Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter.
The Gran Hotel Havana Barcelona retains an air of newness that fits pleasingly with the modernista architecture and design. The tradition and the avant-garde coexist happily together. Which explains this 19th-century building with a 21st-century interior. In terms of service and quality of accommodations, it is pretty much as one would expect of a four-star hotel.
The 145 Standard Rooms, totally redecorated in 2006, all have modern furnishings, satellite TV, wireless Internet, minibar, individual control of central heating and air conditioning, desk, etc. Bathrooms are of Italian marble, and the furniture is made of African bubinga wood. The refined and elegant style here creates just the right serene and restful atmosphere.
The Executive Rooms are equipped to offer maximum comfort: king size bed, desk with Internet connection, trouser press, satellite TV, minibar and Italian marble bathroom. The executive floor has a 24-hour coffee, tea and pastries service and free newspapers.
The Superior Rooms with Terrace (located in the top-floor) have the same comprehensive and modern facilities as the hotel’s other double rooms, but their luxury furnishings are definitely a plus. They all open onto a private terrace where you can enjoy the sun and privileged views over Barcelona.
The Junior Suites a magnificent layout: on entering the salon you find yourself in the middle of the glazed dome that presides over the Hotel, and you can receive your visits here. A comfortable double bedroom decorated along serene lines leads into the unique and amazing bathroom.
All the suites in the Gran Hotel Havana Barcelona have been individually decorated so guests can enjoy an exclusive environment. We suggest that you request our suite on the executive floor. This is undoubtedly the most impressive, with its large lounge featuring a transparent clock in the window, a small guest bathroom with bubinga wood fittings, two televisions, a minibar, dressing gown and a large Italian marble main bathroom.
Our Grand Place restaurant is open every day of the year. It offers tasty seasonal menus featuring our traditional “arroz marinero” (fisherman’s rice). There is a Menu de Degustation with original dishes based on the latest trends in Catalan cuisine.
In the La Cupula piano-bar, set in the spectacular atrium under the skylight that presides over the hotel, you can enjoy live music every day. On the seventh and last floor of the hotel, you will find a space dedicated to sheer leisure and relaxation. You will discover an outdoor pool and terrace-solarium. What’s more, next to the pool is a Sauna Room so you can indulge in a relaxing steam bath. Enjoy this treat in the very heart of the city with some splendid views towards Tibidabo. Every day, from 10am to 8pm, you can take a dip in the pool, lounge in the sun in a privileged environment, and relax in the steam bath of our new Sauna Room.
