The orientation of the Hotel, designed by architect Alejandro Arrospide, has especially been taken into consideration in its design and the large windows give the feeling that it is literally above the Cantabrian Sea.
The establishment has been cared for down to the last detail and its air conditioning system is powered by geothermal energy. This is the perfect place to relax and disconnect between the blue of the sea flowing over the cliffs and the green of the oak forests that descend to the coastline.
The accommodation is spotless, of high quality, modern bathroom, great shower and you can step right from some of the rooms to the swiming pool. The ocean view and pool can be seen from all rooms.
Hotel offers 11 rooms, ten double rooms (one with disabled facilities) and one single room, all spacious and equipped with flat screen TV, safe, hair-dryer, telephone, wireless internet access and king-size or twin beds. The spectacular large windows give the feeling that you are literally above the Cantabrian Sea. Rooms are beautifully decorated in an avant-garde style, utilizing red, white and black colours.
Hotel Arbe has a function room equipped with state of the art technology ideal to celebrate business meetings, informative chats or presentations. The ground floor houses a sauna service and two thermal lounge chairs with a spectacularly-designed shower.
Breakfast is included and like most of Spain its sweet (doughnuts, croissants, cake, etc) but do try the local dish of bread and tomato jam like spread. In addition to breakfast, Hotel Arbe can make the most wonderful dinners (Upon Request).
In addition to enjoying the beauty of the landscape, with spectacular sweeping views of the coast, Mutriku also offers a wide range of cultural activities and cuisine. Its historical district is regarded as one of the best-preserved in the entire province of Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country.
Hotel Arbe is situated in a privileged environment, bordered by beatiful natural forests and beaches (the closest beach is 1 km walk), like the ones in Zumaia, Deba, Zarautz and Getaria.
Finding Hotel Arbe is not hard once you drop past (coming from Deba) and turned around a Mutriku, the sign is visible only coming from the direction of Mutriku. Arbe is about 30 mins from Bilbao and 30 mins from San Sebastian-Donostia on the highways. However if you take the coast road from Arbe to San Sebastian you will enjoy gorgeous coastal and rural views and it will take you over an hour.
